Radium Hot Springs is a mecca for explorers - be it a rafting adventure or relaxing on the balcony! Radium Hot Springs is just one hour away from Banff along Highway 93 and one hour away from Golden along Highway 95.   If you are a cyclist, Radium Hot Springs is one junction of the Golden Triangle (Banff, Golden and Radium). Radium Hot Springs is also home to the "Wings over the Rockies" festival, Classic Car Show, and other fun events sprinkled throughout the summer season. Radium is a town that caters to tourists so there is always lots to see and do - from white water rafting to biking and hiking. A typical day in Radium Hot Springs could consist of waking up in one of the numerous hotels and resorts of the area to see one of the local residents, the Bighorn Sheep grazing on the lawn outside your front window!   After you pack your bag for the day, head over to Meet on Higher Ground - the local coffee house that has everything from lattes, fresh muffins and lunches that can be packed to go for the day!   Choose a trail to explore - anything from a light stroll to Sinclair Creek or head into Kootenay National Park for a summit attempt in the Royal Group Mountains. After your day in the fresh air, your legs might eventually lead you to the Hot Springs operated by Parks Canada. Other plans for the day might include a float trip, a rafting adventure or fishing in the lakes or rivers of the area, to the bird’s eye view of glider and helicopter tours of some of the hidden gems of this areas such as Hanging Glacier with Babin Air.  If you prefer, there are many golf courses (Radium Resort Springs Course, The Resort Course, Spur Valley, Edgewater Hiltop Par 3, Eagle Ranch, Grey Wolf or Copper Point) in the area - try for a hole in one!   For accommodation in the valley, check out Redstreak Provincial Campsite or Canyon campground for those campers out there!   In our little valley paradise, there is anything from the local hostel to Resort style living to rentals of condos for larger groups (See our packages page HERE for some of our partners).   Sooner or later - hunger is bound to be on your mind, for some great Mexican head over to Spur Valley Cantina!  If you are looking for pizza- Main Street has Rockies Pizzeria. Try Bavarian cuisine at the Old Salzberg or have an ice cream at Screamer's along Main Street.

A quick 15 minutes south of Radium Hot Springs is the town of Invermere.   This is a larger center of commerce than Radium and is home to a few more amenities. Larger grocery stores such as AG Foods or Sobeys will be sure to fill the fridge with all that you require.   Shopping in Invermere is a fun experience with everything from mountain biking shops, to natural food groceries to speciality shops where you can learn all about making your own wine. Invermere is the gateway to Panorama Mountain, where you can raft the Toby Creek in the summer and skiing is the name of the game in the winter.
